Mount Abu Famous Hill Station:
Mount Abu is one of the significance hill stations in Rajasthan, India. It is the sole hill station in Rajasthan and attracting many tourists from all over the world. Mount Abu is the place for peace and I elevated to a height of 1220 meters. There are many legendary stories revolving around the origination of the hill station. Among them one is, once Arbuda a powerful snake saved the life of Nandi, which is the holy bull of Lord Shiva. So the name ‘Abu’ derived from the snake.

There is another legend that Rajasthan was the home for holy sages. Once Vaishistha Muni had created four Agnikula Rajput clans from a fir-pit by performing ‘Yagna’. By performing this Yagna, he saved mother earth from the clutches of Evil; due to this story the mountain got the name ‘Abu’.
Mount Abu, The Climate and Landscapes :
The hills are lie at the boundaries of Rajasthan and Gujarat. In Rajasthan the climate is very humid, but Mount Abu is very neat and weather is very pleasant. There are many beautiful waterfalls, lush green forests and lakes are spread around the Mountain. The mountain covered total area of 25 sq.km. During the summer the maxim temperature is 33.8 degrees and minimum temperature is 23.3 degrees. Winter season is very comfortable. So once Rajput kings served Mount Abu as their summer resort. Later the British government handover the place as lease from the Maharaja of Sirohi. Then the British used this place as their Sanatorium for their troops to escape the dust and dry plains.
The hill station is attracting many local and foreign tourists. The tourists prefer to stay in Mount Abu when they visit Rajasthan. The place is very scenic and immerses the tourists with joy.
Here tourists can see many beautiful temples, lakes and sanctuary. Many pilgrims visit this hill station and listen the preaching of Brahma kumari’s. The place is also connected with many other cities in India.
How to Reach:
The nearest airport is Udaipur International airport. There are direct flights from Mumbai, Delhi and jaipur. The taxi and bus facilities are also available from udaypur to Mount Abu.
The nearest Railway station is ‘28’ kms away from Mount Abu; Rails are frequently connect from Mumbai, Jodhpur, Ahmedabad and Jaipur.
The hill city was connected with road with all major cities in Rajasthan.
