Viceregal Lodge The British Residency:
Hill Station Shimla has an attractive Viceregal Lodge, which also known as Rashtrapati Niwas, which located on the Observatory Hills. Before the Independence, British Viceroys have used this residence to stay in summer to escape the heat. The residence situated in a very beautiful location. The lodge declared as a heritage building.
This is the highest point in the surrounding region and 19 km away from Shimla, very beautiful and greenery studded area. Kufri has a Himalayan Wild Life Zoo, here we can see the rare Antelopes, rare feline species, and birds and the state bird of Himachal Pradesh. The Wildflower old days residence turned as famous heritage hotel also worth seeing the place. This place located on way to kufri at Charabada.
Tatta Pani means Hot water in the local language and located on the banks of Satluj River and spreads half a square kilometer area. Here it springs boiling hot Sulpher water and this water known to be good for skin. So the tourists prefer to bath here. This place also famous for the rituals of Tula Daan.
Here the tourists offer shady walks in the sloped surroundings. It is a picturesque site on Shimla-Kalka Railway line and 7 km away from Shimla city.
