Sri Satya Sai baba the Universal Guru

Sri Satya Sai Baba Brief History:

Sri Satya Sai Baba was a famous Saint and the self-proclaimed Bhagavan from India. He is a well-known saint all over the world and attracted a large number of devotees from all over the world. Sri Satya Sai Baba was born on 23rd November 1926 in a small village called Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh. His father’s name was Peda Venkamma Raju, and his mother was Iswaramba. His childhood name was Sathyanarayana Raju. In their later years, he became Satya Sai Baba. As Satya Sai Baba, he did many miracles which did in ancient Sages. Sathya means the truth; Sai means the mother,s; Baba means the father.

Satya Sai Baba in his early years:

Since his childhood days, he was quite different from his fellow mates. In the evenings, he called his friends to the village’s boundaries and infused them to sing devotional songs and Bajans. During this time, he acts as their ‘Guru’. With a passionate mood, the friends also follow the instructions of their Guru. One day at the age of 13, he went into Samadhi. After he came out from the Samadi, he decided to leave school and wanted to serve his fellow human beings in the service of God. His preaches and miracles attracted the surrounding village people, and they started visiting Satya Sai Baba for his blessings. He performed miracles like manifesting things out of thin air and tracing the lost property. So the people increased to see him frequently.

The Universal Guru:

His name spread all around the world gradually. Due to this, many foreign devotees also started visiting him for His blessings. Finally, he left his family and started his life in the way of what he believed in. His main motto was to uplift humanity towards devotion. Gradually, his followers grew in number, established Prashanti Nilayam at Puttaparthi and started giving his actual speeches.

Satya Sai Baba strongly believes that education can emphasise service to the community. Knowing spirituality was essential to lead a truthful life. So that he established more than 6000 spiritual service centres around the world to infuse the people to attain the study of spiritual concepts and practical application of the teaching of Satya Sai Baba; he established schools and colleges to provide free education to enlighten the students’ minds. He had started a super speciality hospital near his Ashram to serve people with low incomes. His devotees also visit hospitals to help patients, feed the hungry and care for the aged.

Services to Mankind and Last Days:

He has shown many development programmes for humanistic and spiritual education programmes. Entire in his life, every programme was conducted to awaken humanity among human beings for fellow human beings. His services continued until his death. In the last few days, he had suffered from a prolonged illness. Finally, at age 85, Satya Sai Baba died on 24th April 2011, leaving millions of his followers worldwide in the gloom.
