Unique Of Lotus Mandir

Fariborz Sahasa, the Iranian Origin, a Canadian architect, designed this beautiful construction. He managed the project of Lotus Temple with the help of a team of 800 Engineers, workers, technicians, and artisans. Lotus-shaped temple construction depended on very difficult. But the Fariborz Sahba team bring it to life with determination. The Temple’s design has half opened lotus flower with 27 freestanding ‘petals’ made of marble. These 27 petals are composed of three ranks of nine petals. The petals spring from a podium elevating above the surrounding plain. The petals and entire structure are constructed of marble, cement, dolomite and sand. The nine arches with 27 petals support the Central Hall of the Temple. There are nine reflecting pools surrounding the building on the outside. The geometry of the construction is very complicated and shows us the genius nature of Architect Fariborz Sahara.

Devotees Destination Lotus Temple:

Due to the vast place, it accommodates nearly 2500 people for their prayers and meditation. The entire structure is white marble to show the Bahai Temple’s purity, peace, and glory. Architecture is one of the masterpieces in the modern and contemporary world and offers a Unique Engineering style. So the Temple is recognised all over the world and attracts a large number of visitors. Nearly 50 million visitors have visited the place since its construction.

The sacred place is the destination for silent Prayer and the meditation of all religious people. So the visitors should be quiet. Generally, the Prayer starts from 10 AM to noon session and 3 PM to 5 PM. Every five minutes, a few prayers from different religions read the sacred preaches from the holy books. During prayer time, People are requested not to leave the Hall.

Iranian Architect Fariborz Sahba designed this Bahai Lotus temple in a lotus shape. He received many prestigious awards for construction, including awards from Glob Art Academy. The building was also named in Guinness World Records. Many books have been written on the Temple and released many stamps.
The Bahai temple hall has a capacity of 2500 people, and the total occupied area is 26 acres. Nearly four million people worldwide visit annually, meaning 10000 people a day. The constructed marble was brought from Penteli Mountains in Greece. There are seven worshipping Bahai temples all over the world. They are in New Delhi, India. Kampala in Uganda, Frankfurt in Germany, Wilmette in the USA, Apia in Western Samoa, Panama City in Panama and Sydney in Australia.
