Amer Fort:
Amer fort is one of the top attractions of Rajasthan. It is also one of the top tourist spots in Rajasthan. The Fort is located in a small town in Amer, Rajasthan. It still stands for many historical events in Indian history. The small village is only 11 K.M away from Jaipur, the pink city of Rajasthan.
History of Amer Fort:
In the 16th century, the places were ruled by Rajputs. They were solid and defied the Muslim invades. Mughals were becoming very strong, So he built the Amer Fort in the 16th century. Before the construction of the Fort, Amer was the capital city of Rajasthan Rulers. Therefore the town of Amer was known as Dhundar and ruled by Kachhwahas. In the 16th century, the capital of Rajasthan moved from Amer to Jaipur. Then Raja Man Singh built a Fort in Amer, famous as Amer Palace. Here king’s heirs and princess lived and protected the people from the Fort.
The architecture of Amer Fort:
Mughals constructed many monuments with Red Stone. Red stone available in Rajasthan varies widely, so the construction of Amer Fort is also done with Red stone and Marble. There is also a Martha lake before the Fort, which increases the charm of Amer Fort. Inside, the Fort was decorated with carving designs and archives. The palaces in the Fort are unique and bright with white Marble stone. We can see popular Sheesh mahal and Sukh mahal Diwan-i-Am. For worshipping Gods in the Palace, the Kings built Shila Devi Temple and Ganesh Temple inside the Fort. Two Forts were also constructed around the Amer Fort. They are Jaigarth Fort and Vijay Garh Forts. The view of these three forts is very magnificent to the viewers.
The Fort has been attracting many tourists from domestic and foreign countries. The visitors are enjoying by looking at the beautiful Fort, and some are astonished when they come to know the history of the Fort.
