Mount Abu Famous Hill Station:

Mount Abu is one of the significant hill stations in Rajasthan, India. It is the only hill station in Rajasthan and attracts many tourists from all over the world. Mount Abu is peaceful, and I elevated it to 1220 meters. There are many legendary stories revolving around the origination of the hill station. Among them is Arbuda, a mighty snake, once saved the life of Nandi, the holy bull of Lord Shiva. So the name ‘Abu’ derived from the snake.

There is another legend that Rajasthan was the home of holy sages. Once, Vaishistha Muni had created four Agnikula Rajput clans from a fir-pit by performing ‘Yagna’. By completing this Yagna, he saved mother earth from the clutches of Evil; the Mountain got the name ‘Abu’ due to this story.

Mount Abu, The Climate and Landscapes :

The hills lie at the boundaries of Rajasthan and Gujarat. In Rajasthan, the climate is very humid, but Mount Abu is immaculate, and the weather is delightful. Many beautiful waterfalls, lush green forests and lakes spread around the Mountain. The Mountain covered a total area of 25 sq. km. During the summer, the maxim temperature is 33.8 degrees, and the minimum is 23.3 degrees. The winter season is very comfortable. So once Rajput kings served Mount Abu as their summer resort. Later the British government handover the place as a lease from the Maharaja of Sirohi. Then the British used this place as their Sanatorium for their troops to escape the dust and dry plains.
The hill station attracts many local and foreign tourists. The tourists prefer to stay in Mount Abu when they visit Rajasthan. The place is very scenic and immerses the tourists in joy.
Here tourists can see many beautiful temples, lakes and sanctuaries. Many pilgrims visit this hill station and listen to the preaching of Brahma kumaris. The place is also connected with many other cities in India.

How to Reach:

The nearest airport is Udaipur International airport. There are direct flights from Mumbai, Delhi and Jaipur. Taxi and bus facilities are also available from Udaipur to Mount Abu.
The nearest Railway station is ‘28’ km away from Mount Abu; Rails are frequently connected from Mumbai, Jodhpur, Ahmedabad and Jaipur.
The hill city was connected by roads with all major cities in Rajasthan.
