Viceregal Lodge The British Residency:

Hill Station Shimla has an attractive Viceregal Lodge, also known as Rashtrapati Niwas, located on the Observatory Hills. Before the Independence, British Viceroys used this residence to stay in summer to escape the heat—the place is beautiful. The lodge was declared a heritage building.

Kufri:

This is the highest point in the surrounding region and 19 km from Shimla, a beautifully-studded area. Kufri has a Himalayan Wild Life Zoo; here, we can see the rare Antelopes, feline species, birds, and the state bird of Himachal Pradesh. The Wildflower old days residence became a famous heritage hotel worth visiting. This place is located on the way to Kufri at Charabada.

Tatta Pani:

Tatta Pani means Hot water in the local language, is located on the banks of the Satluj River and spreads over half a square kilometre area. Here it springs boiling Sulpher water, which is good for the skin. So the tourists prefer to bathe here. This place is also famous for the rituals of Tula Daan.

Summer Hill:

Here the tourists offer shady walks in the sloped surroundings. It is a picturesque site on the Shimla-Kalka Railway line and is 7 km from Shimla city.

Kali Bari:

This is a famous Hindu goddess, Kali temple near the Mall. Another Jakhoo is a Hindu god Hanuman temple located at the highest point in Shimla. These temples are located on Shimla-Kalka Highway. Another temple Tara Devi is 10 km away from Shimla. Some churches are also scattered around the City. And we can see a Gurudwara near the city bus stand.

By Air: The nearest airport is Jubbarhatti, 23 km. The airport is connected with significant city airports in North India.
By Rail: There is a train link from Kalka with 103 tunnels; the journey takes 4 hours. The journey is delightful.
By Road: Road connectivity is well-developed to Shimla. Every City is linked to Shimla. There are buses and taxis available every time from Delhi and Chandigarh.
