India Literacy Rate:

Literacy is critical to developing society and reforming the blind thoughts of religious faiths. Before the Independence of India, the literacy rate calculated very low, and the people followed their traditional ways. After Independence, the efforts of the Indian government were made to increase the India Literacy rate among the societies. This increase in the Indian Literacy rate in India causes to build new industrial revolutions. And overall developments in the lives of People. Increased literacy is generally helpful in today’s civilization, such as modernization, urbanization, industrialization, communication and commerce.

According to the purpose of the census, who can both read and write with any understanding of any language are treated as literate.
