Gujarati cuisines are the traditional food for vegetarians. Gujarat is a famous industrialized state in India. Although here, the people have orthodox traditions and strictly follow the culture of India. During the olden days, Jainism overspread throughout the region, and now Hinduism is thriving at peak level. So people in Gujarat are primarily vegetarians. The religious people here also encourage the widespread adoption of a vegetarian diet. Gujarat dishes are not as spicy to compare neighbouring states. Gujarat Cuisine:

Gujarat has three remote different geographical regions: Kutch, Saurashtra, and Surat. Due to these regions, people prepare various in preparing their dishes. They use pulses, sweets, rice, chutneys, puri, chappati, coconut and sweetened yoghurt. Gujarat is famous for the words ‘Khaman Dhokla’, a salty steamed cake, a vegetarian dish with potato is ‘Oondhiya’, and the vegetarian dishes with brinjal, potato, green beans, and cooked the words in an earthenware pot in the fire.

Khichdi and Kadhi:

Khichdi and Kadhi are other varieties of dishes. Hence Khichdi is prepared with lentil and rice mixture and yoghurt curry with chopped vegetables and various spices. People prepare some dishes with chick-pea and wheat flour. Combining these two things, they prepare snacks like Chakli and Sev Ganthia, famous words in Gujarat. The Doodh Pak, Gharis, and Nankhatais are sweets that are very delicious to eat. Gharis sweets are very renowned in Surat. The dish is prepared with butter, dried fruits, thickened milk, and rich halwa. The Muslim communities prepare beef preparations and a variety of soups.
