Delhi’s traditional costumes have unity in diversity. The city is the capital of India and the destination for cultured people from various regions. So Delhi is a place of unity in diversity. The combination of South India, North India, and the Eastern States people here make a mini world. So here the people prefer to follow their traditions and culture. But those who settled in Delhi transformed the practice and culture of Delhi. Generally, women wear traditional Churidar and Salwar Kameez Dupatta, and men prefer to wear Kurtas and Pyjamas. Women’s costume trends are wearing the Salwar Kameez, which is in the style of baggy trousers. In Delhi, Ghagra Choli is also one of the modern traditional dresses with modern techniques and colours. These costumes combine the contemporary and conventional styles of Delhi society.

Delhi Traditional Costumes Variety Zardozi:

Zardozi designs can be seen abruptly on the saris. This is a style of a Persian form of embroidery. These designs are formed using gold or silver threads in embroidery. These makings of methods were introduced during the Mughal rule in India. The designers used silk materials, crepe, chiffon and georgette. In the designs, these materials bring rich textures to the saris; the sari seems very rich to wear.
