Panini father of Sanskrit Grammar:
Panini is a famous Indian Sanskrit grammarian and the founder of phonetic theory. He was born in Shalatula which was on the Indus river and present in Pakistan. His date of birth is perfectly not known but some historians believe that he lived during some year of 4th to 7th century BCE. He was one of the great knowledge developed among many Indian personalities. During his time people believe that the Sanskrit language treats as the language of the divine.
Panini Contribution to the Sanskrit Language:
He worked on the grammar of Sanskrit language and the present historians believe that he is one of the fathers of the language. The Grammarian wrote the book entitled Astadhyayi which contains eight chapters. In this book, he discussed the language of sacred texts and the language of common man. He also brought nouns, vowels, verbs and consonants to understand the Sanskrit language. He also brought many rules and language theories to understand the sacred texts.
His efforts and structures for understanding the Sanskrit language caused to understand the characters of mathematical and scientific literature. In the ancient Greece, the philosopher thoughts caused to increase the skills of Mathematics, as the same in India Panini’s linguistic development caused to increase the skills of learning mathematical skills in ancient texts. Especially the numbers by words in Algebra is linked with the ancient structure of Sanskrit language.
The Period of Panini:
Historians have very difficult to know the period of Panini. They deeply observed his works to know his life period. Panini mentioned nearly ten scholars in his works, however, the Historians didn’t come found his date of time. Even though some scholars gave some references about the period of Panini. But the conclusions and the evidence has been not matching with each other. So to us, it is difficult to say about the real period of Panini and it left a question mark in the History.
